A close-knit and friendly rowing club based in the city centre of Oxford
OARC is a close-knit and friendly rowing club based in the city centre of Oxford. The club is open to anyone over 18 and includes rowers of all ages and abilities. We offer sweep rowing and sculling – both competitively and recreationally.
OARC was founded in 2004 by a group of Oxford University members looking to row over the summer break. Originally known as “Oxford Academicals Rowing Club” (fondly known by many as “Accies”) due to its academic origins, OARC recently changed its name to “Oxford Amateur Rowing Club” to reflect its community-focused nature.
