IWL B Heads Race – 30th November 2025 

Dev Squad and Men’s Squad – D8+, M8+, M4+, M1x

Dev 8+

One week after their debut at the Lion & Chough Regatta (and the day after the Accies Christmas Party), the Development Squad returned to the Isis for their first head race at IWL B. This time, they were met with clear skies and sunshine throughout the day, a welcome contrast to the previous weekend’s conditions.

Racing as a mixed novice crew in a competitive field, they produced a composed and steady row over the longer head-race course. Their effort earned them 30th place out of 57 crews of all abilities, an excellent result for a squad still at the very start of their racing journey.

It was a confident step forward and a positive marker of the progress they are already making.

Men’s 8+

In addition to the strong performance of the Dev Squad, the Men’s Squad also delivered a strong performance at IWL B, making the most of the clear skies and sunshine 

The crew rowed a steady and well-controlled piece over the course, finishing 11th out of 57 crews. It was a result that reflected both their consistency in training and their growing cohesion on the water.

The performance marks a promising point in their winter campaign, offering a solid platform for the races to come and highlighting the positive momentum within the squad.
